About Security Checking

Following the bombs at JW Marriott / Ritz Carlton on July 17th, 2009, there were increasing level of security checking everywhere, including and not limited to offices and all public places like shopping malls.

Some people, including me, think that these increasing checking is useless. Because they don't check thoroughly anyway. Instead of opening people's hand-carries but doesn't really check what are the contents inside, it's better for these places to equip themselves with an X-ray scanner, like the ones they have at the airports. If, the intention is really for security reason. I suspect this is only to show that hey, we security people do our work! We check people's bags, you know???
