So, it's been quite some time since my last post here. And I wasn't being so productive either. My contribution to this blog is so much less than the other contributor's, so in order to secure my position here, I gotta post something!
Or, at least that was what requested by the other contributor, you-know-who.
Nope, no threat whatsoever from him, just a simple "Please post something, I'm so sick of seeing my own name appear again and again on the last 10 posts or something.."
Ha..ha..
So, I was very confused what to post, I have been very "dry" on ideas, I was beginning to sweat, what am I gonna post here?? And then, BANG! This thing came up! It must be a sign from the Lord above that I still have some ability to write, I haven't lost it at all.

You know what this is?
For you who are not regular taxi-hopper, might not even remember there's a certain taxi in Jakarta called TRANSCAB, which provides not only good services, nice cars that are properly air-conditioned, and mini-TV unit inside their cars so we can enjoy some entertainment while trapped in traffic jam (and thus, ignoring the climbing figures on the meter...), they also provide receipt!
I repeat that, RECEIPT!
Why, it's something very usual for you?
Not for us here in Jakarta. Most taxis in Jakarta, I would've said ALL if I haven't experienced this just this morning, don't provide receipt. If we should charge the fee to our offices, we are forgiven to not provide the receipts, something that is going to make the accountants getting headache on justifying.
I've boarded TRANSCAB several times, and all these times I never noticed they do provide receipt, until this morning when I peeked at the meter before I paid, I saw some roll of paper right beside the meter, and I asked the driver was that paper for receipt? And he said yes, and then I asked him to print out one piece of receipt for me. Not that I'm going to charge it to my office, but what I was thinking was that : THERE! MY POST THIS MORNING! THANK GOD!!!
There is one weird thing about the time printed on the receipt, though. It said my travel time is 25 mins (08.57 - 09.22 AM), but then on lower row it said TIME is 06 mins and 21 secs. I guess the 6 mins 21 secs are the stop time, time counted when the car had to stop at redlights or other areas that it had to slow down to 0 KM/h. Probably...
So, for you who might need to have receipt to justify your trip inside Jakarta, you might want to use TRANSCAB if you see one on the street. I'm not advertising or anything, nor I suggest that this one is better on the security aspect, as I know I'd still prefer that other taxi that has the logo of a certain bird with certain color you-know-which for providing security feeling.
And, I'm done here! Hahaha....
